Frequently asked questions

Which L5 laminate should I use for outdoor prints?

Use L5150-UV, available as gloss L5150(G)-UV or matt L5150(M)-UV. Its permanent UV-coated adhesive is designed for outdoor applications of up to 12 months and helps minimise shrinkage. L5230 is meant for indoor, short-term graphics such as posters, point-of-sale and roll-up banners. For floor graphics, use the anti-slip L7200(M) instead.

Should I choose matt or gloss laminate?

Choose matt where glare is a problem and gloss where colour impact matters most. Matt reduces glare and fingerprints, which helps under bright shop lighting, while gloss makes colours look richer and more saturated. Both the outdoor L5150-UV and the indoor L5230 come in matt and gloss, so you can pick the finish whatever the location.
